Everything you need to know before and after your aesthetic treatment with Dr. Firas Abdulmajeed.

Before Your Visit

Pre-Treatment Instructions

  • Avoid blood-thinning medications (Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Aleve, Motrin) for 5–7 days prior to treatment to minimize bruising, unless prescribed by your doctor.
  • Avoid supplements like Fish Oil, Vitamin E, Ginkgo Biloba, and Ginseng for 5 days prior.
  • Avoid alcohol consumption for 24 hours prior to your appointment.
  • Please arrive with a clean face, free of makeup if possible.
  • Inform Dr. Firas of any changes to your medical history or medications.

After Your Visit

Post-Treatment Instructions (Neurotoxins)

  • Do NOT rub, massage, or apply pressure to the treated areas for 24 hours.
  • Remain upright for 4 hours following the injection. Do not lie flat.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise or heavy lifting for 24 hours.
  • Avoid extensive sun or heat exposure (saunas, hot tubs, tanning beds) for 24 hours.
  • You may experience mild redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection sites, which should resolve quickly.
  • Results take time. You may begin to see changes in 3–5 days, but full results will not be visible for 14 days.

Do not rub, massage, or apply pressure to the treated areas for 24 hours. Remain upright for 4 hours following the injection — do not lie flat. Avoid strenuous exercise or heavy lifting for 24 hours, and avoid extensive sun or heat exposure (saunas, hot tubs, tanning beds) for 24 hours. Mild redness, swelling, or bruising at injection sites is normal and typically resolves quickly.

Discomfort is typically minimal. We use ultra-fine needles, and treatments are usually very quick. Most patients describe the sensation as a slight pinch. Topical numbing cream is available on request, though most patients find it unnecessary.
